Who is this product for?
Rhonda Allison Beta Bright Cleanse is ideal for normal, combination, oily, and acne-prone skin, as well as anyone concerned with uneven skin tone, post-acne marks, or dullness. This gentle exfoliating cleanser helps remove impurities while promoting a brighter, smoother, and more balanced-looking complexion. It is suitable for most skin types, but those with very dry or highly sensitive skin may prefer to start with less frequent use.
How do I use it correctly?
Apply a small amount to damp skin and gently massage for 30–60 seconds, avoiding the eye area. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water and pat dry. Use morning and/or evening, depending on your skin's needs and tolerance. Follow with your treatment products and moisturizer. If using in the morning, always finish with a broad-spectrum sunscreen.
What are the key ingredients, and what do they do?
- Salicylic Acid (Beta Hydroxy Acid/BHA) – Helps exfoliate inside the pores, reduce excess oil, and improve the appearance of blemishes and congestion.
- Lactic Acid – Gently exfoliates the skin's surface to improve texture and promote a brighter, more even complexion.
- Brightening Botanical Extracts – Help improve the appearance of uneven skin tone while supporting healthier-looking skin.
- Antioxidants – Help protect the skin from environmental stressors that contribute to premature aging.
- Soothing Plant Extracts – Help calm the skin while minimizing the drying effects sometimes associated with exfoliating cleansers.
Can I use this with retinol, vitamin C, or exfoliating acids?
Yes, but use it thoughtfully with other active ingredients.
- Retinol: Yes. Because this cleanser contains exfoliating acids, if your skin is sensitive, you may prefer to use the cleanser in the morning and your retinol at night, or alternate use based on your skin's tolerance.
- Vitamin C: Yes. It pairs well with vitamin C and can be used before applying a vitamin C serum.
- Exfoliating acids (AHAs/BHAs): Since Beta Bright Cleanse already contains exfoliating acids, use caution when combining it with additional acid-based exfoliants to avoid over-exfoliation. If irritation occurs, alternate products on different days.
Is it fragrance-free, cruelty-free, or vegan?
- Fragrance-free: No. Beta Bright Cleanse contains naturally aromatic botanical ingredients and essential oils, so it is not considered fragrance-free.
- Cruelty-free: Yes. Rhonda Allison states that its products are not tested on animals.
- Vegan: The brand does not specifically identify this product as vegan. Because the manufacturer has not made a clear vegan claim, it's best not to market it as vegan without direct confirmation.
